"Home is the nicest word there is." ~Laura Ingalls Wilder

We’re a small licensed home bakery in Milford, OH, just blocks from the high school. All of our items are listed in our online shop and available for scheduled pick-ups. You can order online or call or message us. Every treat we bake is crafted with care, just like we would for our own family, with the hope it brings comfort, connection, and joy to your day.

What makes us special? Our bakery and home are completely peanut-free. One of our daughters has a peanut allergy. Though she is grown and married, we are committed to keeping our items and home peanut-free. We understand how challenging it can be to find truly peanut-free options, so we’re proud to offer safe, sweet treats that everyone can enjoy. We also offer a few egg-free items! And when eggs are used, they come straight from our backyard chickens, so every cookie, donut, and dessert made with eggs gets a little cluck of approval.

A little about me... I’m a retired homeschool mom who values home, family, and faith. Our family feels incredibly blessed that some of our best years and memories were made right here, in our little house, growing together in a community we love. We’re deeply grateful for God’s grace and the many ways He’s blessed us.

I’m unapologetically a homebody, a fan of Little House on the Prairie, and since we live in a small home in a suburb of Cincinnati, I’ve lovingly referred to our home as the Little House in the Suburb. Over the last couple of years, we’ve added backyard chickens and plan to add a garden this year—though we're definitely not aspiring homesteaders or prairie-dwellers! We just love our little suburban life, our neighbors, and of course, our chickens! I wholeheartedly agree with Laura Ingalls Wilder: “Home is the nicest word there is.”

In 2024, both of our daughters happily married (an exciting milestone and year for our family!), and is also when I decided to embrace baking as a creative outlet that would allow me to stay connected with friends, neighbors, and the community. It’s been a wonderful way to combine my love of creativity with the flexibility I need to balance family and my part-time job. Baking has turned out to be the perfect fit—a balance of heart, creativity, and community.

My husband and I are adjusting to empty-nest life, enjoying our careers, church family, and rediscovering mutual interests. I’ve had the privilege of working part-time with the greatest generation in a role I’ve held for over 26 years at a wonderful nursing and assisted living home. The work is incredibly rewarding and meaningful, though can be serious at times. Which is why I truly enjoy the creative outlet baking provides—it gives me the chance to spread a little light-hearted sweetness and joy.

My simple mission is to create treats that feel like a warm hug from home; crafting each item with care and love, using only the freshest ingredients—including those eggs from our backyard chickens!

Whether you’re celebrating life’s milestones, looking for a sweet gift, or simply treating yourself, I’m here to make your day a little brighter. Stop by to pick up your order, say hello, and even visit the chickens if you'd like, or just grab and go. Let’s spread some joy, one bite at a time. We can’t wait to bake for you!
