Dear Parents, Guardians and Athletes:

The West Pines Track & Field Commissioner, Board Members and Coaches would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your participation. In addition, we would like to make you aware of the following rules and regulations that must be adhered to for safety purposes and to ensure that practice and Track meets take place as scheduled.

Practice begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m.
Do not remove your child from practice or a Track meet without notifying the Coach.
Athletes are not to be dropped off and left alone or unattended, without a coach present.
You are requested to leave an emergency telephone number when you cannot be present during a Track Meet or practice.
You are requested to be at the facility 15 minutes prior to the end of practice or track event. There is often a team update at the end of practice and important information distributed regarding the track team.
Each competitive athlete will be issued a uniform to be worn at the Track meets only.
Practice Attire: T-shirt, or sweatshirt; shorts or sweatpants and running sneakers. (No jeans, shirt / blouse with thin straps or chest exposure, or short shorts are allowed.)
No snacks, sodas or juices are allowed during practice.
During inclement weather, parents are asked to remain until the practice or track meet is over as the weather may force the cancellation or postponement of the practice or a track meet. During practice times and inclement weather, please check your text messages or the website WWW.WestPinesTrack.com for messages regarding practice or track meet cancellation. All athletes and parents must leave the field and seek shelter should a thunderstorm suspend practice.
If an athlete is disrespectful to a coach or the team management during practice or at a track meet event, the athlete and the parent will be required to appear before the Commissioner or Club Board of Directors to determine if the athlete can continue with the Track Club.
Each track team member and parent or guardian will participate in fund raising activities.

We are optimistic that all track members will conduct themselves in a fashion that is acceptable to West Pines, their parents and or guardians. The following are cause for disciplinary actions and or possible suspension from the track team:

Taking or stealing, any item including, clothes, shoes, uniforms, electronic devices, etc.
Smoking and or possession of cigarettes, alcohol or drugs.
Possession of weapons, (pocketknives, razors, scissors or guns).
Fighting or threatening others.
Destroying or defacing track equipment or facilities.
Disruptive behavior during practice, competition, or team event.
Using profanity, indecent or unacceptable language.
Being disrespectful to coaches, parents, guardians or others.
General Misconduct.

Please note that arriving late to track meets may result in the child missing his/her event.
